MES – Wonderware Industrial Application Server


This course is intended to provide operators, project managers and system administrators with the basic knowledge required to use the Industrial Application Server in their manufacturing environment.

This course is intended to provide operators, project managers and system administrators with the basic knowledge required to use the Industrial Application Server in their manufacturing environment.

(Pre) Knowledge
To join this course, you need to have basic operating, system administration or plant management experience in a manufacturing environment, including general knowledge of InTouch HMI applications (preferably development).

Global Contents
The course covers exporting applications and related objects, applying the ArchestrA® technology in a shop floor environment, developing objects, templates and applications using the Integrated Development Environment (IDE), as well as trouble shooting the Industrial Application Server.

 

Methods
ATS courses are given by highly qualified trainers, with practical knowledge, in professional ATS training centers or On-Site. Prior to the course an intake conversation can take place to define the participant(s) and the company’s requirements. Presentations (theory and examples) as well as practical exercises bring the courses to life. Upon completion of the course, the student will have an understanding of the following:

  • Introduction to ArchestrA, system requirements, the Galaxy, installation and licensing and tag based vs. object oriented supervisory control.
  • Plant Modeling and Application Planning, including an overview of the topology, facility modeling and objects & object instances.
  • Modeling Equipment, covering device integration objects and application objects.
  • Templates and object change control and propagation.
  • Object relationships and modeling complex objects
  • Extending objects, UDA’s and scripts, extensions and output functionality and additional application objects.
  • Alarming and Historisation
  • Security overview and Application Server security settings.
  • Galaxy Maintenance, exporting and importing a Galaxy, System Management Console (SMC) and network account utility.
  • DAServers, DI Objects and intermittent network configuration.
  • Redundancy and redundant DI objects, converting to a multi user Galaxy and converting to a network environment.
