Target Group
This course is designed for engineers who need to develop, modify or maintain projects with Allen Bradley FactoryTalk View Machine Edition and who wish to gain experience with designing and configuring HMI (Human-Machine-Interface) projects in an Microsoft Windows environment. FactoryTalk View ME is the software required for PanelView Plus operator terminals.

(Pre) Knowledge
To join this course experience of industrial control applications is desirable, including basic knowledge of PLC systems. Knowledge of the Windows operating system is essential.

Global Contents
The main objective of the course is to develop configuration skills for all of the fundamental elements of PanelView Plus systems. At the end of the course participants should be able to complete a FactoryTalk View project including establishing communication, creating graphical objects and configuring such elements as alarm lists and process variable read-outs.

Methods
This course introduces the concept of HMI and SCADA technology and the skills required to complete a FactoryTalk View project. Examples, slides and other presentation methods are used. After finishing the theory each participant will have the opportunity to practice with the FactoryTalk View software during ‘on hands’ sessions. Specially developed exercises help participants learn quickly and effectively.
