Target Group
This course is designed for engineers (either in process engineering, automation, or instrumentation) and information technology (IT) professionals who need to develop, configure and use infoAgent applications.
(Pre) Knowledge
To join this course, a good working knowledge of Windows 2000, Windows NT 4.0, and/or Windows XP operating systems is required.
Global Contents
The course outline focuses on Proficy Real-Time Information Portal Development, intended to make engineers competent with infoAgent. Special attention will be given to configuration and how to apply the infoAgent software to process applications.
Methods
ATS courses are given by highly qualified trainers, with practical knowledge, in professional ATS training centres or On-Site. Prior to the course an intake conversation can take place to define the participant(s) and the company’s requirements. Presentations (theory and examples) as well as practical exercises bring the courses to life. ATS courses are interactive, the trainer will always make sure the training contents link back to your situation.
Specific Contents
Upon completion of the course, the student will have an understanding of the following:
- Understand architecture and communication between the infoAgent Server and infoAgent Clients
- Install and configure an infoAgent Server, including the configuration and building of an infoAgent security strategy
- Create infoAgent displays using basic graphic objects, data links, grids, form components, event charts, and XY charts
- Connect to and retrieve data from a variety of data sources
