Training Target Group
This course is designed for people who want to develop projects with iFIX and wish to gain experience in designing and configuring an advanced HMI/SCADA software application.
Training (Pre) Knowledge
To join this course experience of industrial control applications is desirable, including knowledge of PLC functions. Knowledge of an MS-Windows environment using Icons, Menu’s, Dialog Boxes and On-Line Help is essential for developers, for maintenance personnel an extra day may be required to cover these functions.
Training Global Contents
During this course you will become familiar with all of the basic aspects of this HMI/SCADA package. You will learn to use the graphical editor tools whereby the whole process can be visualised. Alarm handling, Historical Trending and basic knowledge of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) will also be part of this course so that the participants can use the full functionality of iFIX’s open architecture. Other aspects such as connectivity with DDE/OPC, ActiveX controls, networks, redundancy and extensive scripting are optional.
Training Methods
ATS courses are given by highly qualified trainers, with practical knowledge, in professional ATS training centres or On-Site. Prior to the course an intake conversation can take place to define the participant(s) and the company’s requirements. Presentations (theory and examples) as well as practical exercises bring the courses to life. ATS courses are interactive, the trainer will always make sure the training contents link back to your situation.
